Oh and me and Notion went to the B.o.B gig in Melbourne last night. Wow. One of the illest shows I've ever seen. So much energy, awesome presence. Just pure showmanship. Dude is a superstar. He'll be playing arenas in a year if the universe is how it should be.

After both dropping albums in recent weeks, Eminem and The Roots team up on Jimmy Fallon. Of course, The Roots are Jimmy's house band, which I still don't get. Where do those dudes find enough time in the day?



Still not sure what's up with Pink being on the album version of this track. Glad she wasn't around for this one.

Classic joint this one. Really glad to see Em back in the spotlight amongst the big names in hip hop. Hard to believe this track is almost a decade old but its an undeniable classic now.



Jay never gets enough credit for standing up on this one because Em just completely bodied it.

Cinque "Talkin' 2 Myself" ft. Kobe (Track produced by DJ Khalil)

Aight, so a nice lil bit of controversy for ya.

Check the above video for 'Talkin' 2 Myself' from Cinque, with Kobe on the hook. Sound familiar? A certain Mr Mathers used the exact same beat and hook for his most recent album, 'Recovery' (my fave song on the album). How did this happen? I have zero concrete facts, but as we all know, YouTube comments might as well be bond, so check the details...

"No money was ever asked from Cinque for the track, so that is not an issue. A batch of beats were sent to Cinque from Khalil through a mutual friend (No ID) as a favor and Cinque happened to use the track w/ no intention of marketing it or making profit from it, just to further build an online presence and work on a project. Yes Eminem paid for the rights, but that still does nothing to disprove Mr.Mathers used a recycled track that has been floating around for almost 2 yrs, lame."

I've been reading all the hype about this joint on Twitter the last few days, so I was glad when I stumbled upon this teaser video for the single, 'Not Afraid', off Em's latest LP 'Recovery'.

The track is HEAT. To be honest, I haven't really felt Em's new shit (granted, they're all feature verses) for some time, so I'm actually looking forward to this album.

What Cee be on... B.o.B

This is my SHIT right now. I already am in love with Paramore, Hayley Williams' voice is incredible (I don't give a fuck that they got the Twilight joint), so to hear her murk a Hip Hop joint is even more impressive. Oh and there's Part 2 on the album that features Eminem, though his verse just doesn't really do it for me.

I heard it's a single, I'll post the video as soon as it's available. Just a brilliant hook, great song, dope beat. B.o.B FTW. I gotta say that I love the album 'The Adventures of Bobby Ray' even though most cats are hating.

Nate Kane gets a DUI and we have a new Hip Hop segment! Nepotism

OK, Nate Kane AKA Nathan Mathers, brother of Hip Hop star EMINEM has been busted for a DUI (Driving Under the Influence). Now, either this is Nate just being Nate or he's trying to pump up his bad boy image in order to further his fledgling career, you know, appeal to those in his target market or pretend audience.



Actually that's not fair, Nate actually has a few tracks out on his MySpace page, he's on Twitter and probably on Facebook too! His stuff is respectable, I mean he's having a go and good on him for trying..although his flow sounds somewhat similar to that of his famous bro, and I suspect their may be some ghost writing coming from big Em himself to add that authenticity. What I really want to hear is the HIP HOP NEPOTISM Unearthed Project, where by all the other non famous, cousins, hangers on and other wanna be Hip Hop stars that have a name to help them platform from..

I see Nate Kane at the top, what we really need is the Donny Wahlberg and Nate Kane remix album with guest spots on the album from Fonsworth Bentley and K Fed (yeah just when you thought it couldn't get any realer, Kendra from Girls At The Playboy Mansion spits a '16' on the bonus track with Joaquin Phoenix!).
