Wow. I'd only really heard of K'Naan since 2008 when the homie Dave from D6 filled me in. Now it seems like dude is everywhere and big ups, he's ridiculous with it.

Now famed producer Bob Ezrin has brought together top Canadian performers for Young Artists for Haiti, and the group’s rendition of the song takes it to new heights. Performers include K’naan, Nikki Yanofsky, Justin Bieber, Jim Cuddy, Emily Haines, Hedley, The Arkells, Drake, Justin Bieber, Avril Lavigne, Jully Black, Sam Roberts, Kardinal Offishall, and more.

Apple, the labels, and the artists are donating their share of the proceeds to the Free The Children, World Vision, and War Child charities.

"I could note how long I slept on K’Naan, his album Troubadour and the rest of his deep catalog. Then, I could speak on how he pretty much stole the entire show when I saw him at Rock The Bells as an opening act, amidst half of my favorite rappers. Following up by harping on how excited I got upon reading the details to the Somalian-turnt-Canuck’s new digital EP, The Messengers, and finding out he was not only doing an ode to one Bob Marley, but another as well.

Or, I could just cut the bullshit and say, here’s one extremely talented musician doing tributes to a few others.
