Model Feature - Shushila Takao

Oh we back! Our model grind has been a bit more vicious of late, as we gear up for the re-launch of TheMovementFam.com with a brand new layout, artist pages, and all that good stuff.

So as per how most of my model discoveries happen, I was trawling Facebook at work (it's kinda part of my job lol) and I stumbled upon one of the loveliest young ladies I've seen in a while, Miss Shushila Takao. I was pretty much immediately struck by her natural beauty, and the more photos I saw of her, the more this was confirmed. I think I developed a bit of a crush lol.

So, loyal TheMovementFam.com readers, it's my pleasure to present this young lady, who is well spoken, driven and extraordinarily smokin' (check her background). Y'all definitely gonna need to check out her websites...

Model Feature - Jenafer Lynn Williams

It's been a minute since our last model feature. My apologies, we been slackin'.

This is the first time we've ever invited a model back for a second chat and a fresh bunch of pics; so Miss Jena is a special one. Our favourite American residing Down Under stopped by for another chat, and delivered a brand new smokin' set of flicks exclusively for the readers of TheMovementFam.com...

Cee: Hey Jena, it's been over a year since we saw you last. What's been happening?
Jena: Still in Australia..(sigh)!

Cee: What sort of shoots have you been doing recently?
Jena: Alot of lingerie work...soon to be moving into swimwear, I hope, if I can stay in shape.

 Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: Have you managed to work with any of the photographers you mentioned last time?
Jena: I doubt that would ever happen, this is just a paycheck for me, nothing more.

Cee: You were doing yoga and lingerie modelling, have you been doing much of that? Are you still enjoying that line of work?
Jena: Still doing all of that, that's the only thing I do enjoy doing. Lingerie is fun! And I keep all of it, for all you single men...

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: Tell us about the new photos we have here.
Jena: It's just a mix of my favorites. All genres. But I will let you in on a secret that I will be doing a very well known American Mag that most of you wouldn't think I would do...an AUS version..but still the same mag. You are in for a bare all treat :D

Cee: Have you had any memorable experiences with your modelling in the past year?
Jena: Recently doing my 2nd shoot with Zoo...always a blast with their crew. Memorable almost baring all in front of everyone!

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: I heard word that you might be trying out for the Dallas Desire in the Lingerie Football League...
Jena: ha ha ha..did you? Well, I do plan on trying out and that's all I can do. Would you come watch me? I would surely NOT play nice!

Cee: So you're an American model living in Australia. Has the experience out here been different from your experiences at home?
Jena: Besides everyone hating me, and the slang...not really. I love Australia but I am ready to be home. I miss the gentlemen.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: You're heading back to the US later this year; do you plan to continue the modelling?
Jena: I don't think so. Unless I need money. I want to focus on my charity work.

Cee: What's next for you?
Jena: A year volunteering in Tanzania..I hope!

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: You're the first model we've had back for a second time around, so thank you! :)
Jena: WOW..I don't know who to thank..LOL. Anything for the Movement Fam. I love you guys. xx

Model Feature: Cherelle J

This week I am proud to present Ms. Cherelle J, reppin the west coast to the fullest, Riverside, CA to be exact. In her one short year of modeling she has been featured on several club flyers and even been the leading lady in the fashion show at her college. Ms. Cherelle does indeed have a bright future ahead. In between shoots and a busy school schedule, Cherelle found the time to drop a little light on modeling and the industry. Check out the interview below.

DJ Grain: What’s your name?
Cherelle: Cherelle J aka SoHollywood.

DJ Grain: Where are you from?
Cherelle: I am originally from Riverside, CA but now I reside in Fresno, CA because it is a good place where I can finish school and get that under my belt before moving to LA.

DJ Grain: How many years have you been modeling?
Cherelle: Ive been modeling for about a year now.

DJ Grain: What are the misconceptions people commonly have about models that are untrue?
Cherelle: A big misconception about models is that we are all stupid and anorexic. I personally have always been very into school and take pride in my education and I have also been naturally slim all my life without starving myself, anyone who knows me knows that food is probably my best friend lol.

DJ Grain: What shows, videos, magazines, etc. have you been featured in?
Cherelle: I havent been featured in any videos or magazines....YET.

DJ Grain: What photographers have you worked with?
Cherelle: I have worked with Feather Da-Wyz, Aubre Cummings of Studio5nine photography and Ken of Kens photos.

DJ Grain: What photographers would you like to work with?
Cherelle: I want to work with photographers who have strong unique fierce images, portray me in the best light possible and who can help me build my portfolio.

DJ Grain: Can you describe the grind of a model trying to break into the industry?
Cherelle: It is definitely not as easy as you think. You start out trying to get booked for something but don’t have any professional photos to show to even get booked. And if you do want some good photos to start with, you’re going to have to pay about two to four hundred for them. Most people don’t have that kind of money so you’re looking for someone to shoot you for free. And if u get lucky enough to find someone they expect you to know everything, how to pose, how to work your face etc. and some photographers are ass holes, you get critiqued on every part of your body and the industry is not nice with their comments at all. You really have to have a tough skin and brush off the things they say because it can really get to you and ruin your self esteem.

DJ Grain: Any words for the ladies out there that have aspirations of entering the modeling industry?
Cherelle: Its not about what you know its about who you know! Yes I’m intelligent but intelligence doesn’t get good pictures. Be sociable and outgoing with people, network your butt off and get people on your side who can help you, other people know people so the bigger your circle of hard working positive individuals, the farther you will get.

DJ Grain: How can people contact you for booking?
Cherelle: I can be reached through my:
MySpace 1
MySpace 2

Model Feature: Shanno~Shanell

This week I am proud to present Shanno~Shanell, a certified dime and hustler reppin the Windy City aka Chicago. Don't be surprised if you see her on the cover of a few magazines soon. She took some time out of her schedule for little interview check it out below.

DJ Grain: What’s your name?
Shanell: Shanno~Shanell.

DJ Grain: Where are you from?
Shanell: I was born in Louisiana, but i was raised on the west side of Chicago.

DJ Grain: How many years have you been modeling?
Shanell: This is my first year modeling, so I'm still green, lol. Hopefully my career can take off, like a lot of models I look up to.

DJ Grain: What are the misconceptions people commonly have about models that are untrue?
Shanell: The biggest misconception that people have about me is that I'm mean and conceited because I'm a model. But in all actuality, I'm a people person. I love sports, hanging with friends, playing pool, among other things.

DJ Grain: What shows, videos, magazines, etc. have you been featured in?
Shanell: In January, I was in a Ed Hardy fashion show here in Chicago. I was just recently in a House of Bidalle fashion show which was a huge success! I've posed for Kharizma Magazine, & I have something in the works to be in 2Tight Magazine as well.

DJ Grain: What photographers have you worked with?
Shanell: I've worked with The Most Gorgeous Photography (photog: Larry). Kharizma Magazine (photog: Trey & Poney Boy). Next Level Photography (photog: Sean).

DJ Grain: What photographers would you like to work with?
Shanell: I would love to work with TTP of Nu Age Photography, Shaun Hines Photography, & Patrick Adams of 2 Star Studios.

DJ Grain: Can you describe the grind of a model trying to break into the industry?
Shanell: The grind is a hard one because, its hard to get certain people to take you & what your trying to do serious. I myself like to keep everything on a business relationship. You've got some A-holes, perverts, & sicko's in this industry, so having a supportive team of people to help you cut down the grass so view the snakes is always a plus.

DJ Grain: Any words for the ladies out there that have aspirations of entering the modeling industry?
Shanell: Never settle, ALWAYS stay professional, get your image out there as much as possible, & stay on your hustle!

DJ Grain: How can people contact you for booking?

Besides doing runway shows and promotional events, she is a 'hair model'. DJ Grain: What photographers would you like to work with?
Arkeedah: I would love to work with Derek Blanks and Leo Marshall.

DJ Grain: Can you describe the grind of a model trying to break into the industry?
Arkeedah: One word, HUSTLE. Webster definition: promote energetically and aggressive. You have to know where you want to go, and have a plan on how to get there.

DJ Grain: Any words for the ladies out there that have aspirations of entering the modeling industry?
Arkeedah: Stay motivated and if you have the drive to pursue it, then do it!

Model Mondays Feature: Jenafer Lynn Williams

Aight, we're back again for yet another Model Mondays here at The Movement Fam.com. This week, we're meeting y'all sorta somewhere in the middle. This young lady, who goes by the name of Jenafer Lynn Williams, is a US native who now resides in Australia. Boom. Hustler. Good to see the Yanks heading down our way to work instead of the other way around. She's been doing her thang out here for a minute, so check the flicks and read what she has to say...

Cee: Whatʼs your name?
Jena: Jenafer Lynn Williams, aka Jena.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: Where are you from?
Jena: New Bern, NC, USA.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: How many years have you been modeling?
Jena: Two years.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: What are the misconceptions people commonly have about models that are untrue?
Jena: I think most of them are true, about drugs, eating disorders, but they work very hard, REALLY! Try sitting through 2-3 hours of make-up (someone pulling your hair, sticking things in your eyes) then posing for 2-8 hours for a photographer who is never happy.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: What shows, videos, magazines, etc. have you been featured in?
Jena: Australian Yoga Life Mag, Yoga Journal Mag, The Source Mag, Blender Mag and Cleo Mag. I am a reoccuring model for Wages Lingerie and Jeans Co, Clinton Charlie Jeans, and VelvetAttic clothes.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: What photographers have you worked with?
Jena: No one mentionable. They have all been great, but up and coming, no extremely famous photographers.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: What photographers would you like to work with?
Jena: Johannes Felten and Victoria's Secret photographers.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: Can you describe the grind of a model trying to break into the industry?
Jena: Working a lot of trade for print jobs until you get that great shot or someone randomly sees your work. It's really not that hard. If a company or photographer likes your look, whether you are 50kg or 300kg, whether you fit the norm of models, if they see something they like about you then they can photoshop like it's hot! LOL.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: Any words for the ladies out there that have aspirations of entering the modeling industry?
Jena: As I said, anyone can be a model, don't change your looks to become a size 0 model or something that you are not.

Jenafer Lynn Williams

Cee: What's your plans from here?
Jena: I wouldn't have the slightest clue, I didn't imagine a year ago that I would be approached to do Yoga modeling, and less than 6 months later to move to a reoccurring lingerie model.

Jena's Model Mayhem page
